Rebeca Beeman, M.A. LMFT

Rebeca (she/her) offers a steady, caring and genuine presence to her clients. She holds a certification in Ecopsychology which means she provides nature-based interventions and perspectives as well as creative and art-based options within sessions. She is rooted in a systems approach based in family therapy, has been trained in Hakomi (mindful, somatic, and experiential approaches), and has a foundation in attachment theory. Rebeca has lived a rich life, was born in Mexico and has lived and traveled extensively abroad, enabling her to hold a multicultural and culturally sensitive point of view. She is fluent in Spanish and English and is trained, practiced and focused in social justice. Prior to becoming a therapist, Rebeca has had careers in international education, documentary storytelling, and community and union organizing — all of which contribute to her ability to relate to a wide range of people, backgrounds and identities. She is collaborative, client-centered, strengths-based and creative in her approach. Rebeca holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage, Couples and Family Therapy from The Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling in Portland, Oregon and interned at the M.E.T.A. Counseling Clinic.

Therapy Options

Wild Balance Therapeutics provides therapy to individual clients, couples, friendships, families and other relationship types. Rebeca welcomes and values all identities and invites clients to consider all of their parts - which may include one’s age/generation, socio-economic status/background, race and ethnicity, culture and language, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, learning style, family upbringing and configuration, body size and ability, spirituality/religion, and political orientation.

Rebeca works with a wide range of concerns including personal growth,, anxiety and depression, grief/loss, Attention issues, adolescence and selfhood, life transitions, end of life, death and dying, aging parents, purpose and meaning, natural disaster trauma, family conflict, cross-cultural navigation and integration, intergenerational cultural trauma, separation/divorce, parenting, step-parenting, fertility challenges, family planning, and chronic pain.

Rates

Rates are offered based on 50 or 60 minute sessions. A sliding scale is available to a select number of clients who are experiencing financial hardship.
